We are looking for a Tax Business Analyst in Group Tax Reporting. This person will be responsible for maintaining the global direct tax automation solution under US GAAP / IFRS

About the role

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining the global solution for corporate income tax reporting under US GAAP
  • Contribute to the group wide IFRS implementation for Group Tax within the project team
  • Support of the business analysts and local tax teams (provide training in the automated solution, steering the local vs. the global automation)
  • Strong collaboration with Finance IT
  • Assist in quality control and testing
  • Setup and coordinate user acceptance tests and dry runs
  • Collaboration with IFRS Project, Group Tax Reporting Experts, Subject Matter Experts and other functions
  • Stakeholder management and communication

About the team

The Group Tax Reporting Team is responsible for the group wide tax reporting process under US GAAP (IFRS from 2024 on). The international team members are located in the US and the EMEA region.

About you

Qualifications and Competencies

  • University degree in the field of finance or accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a tax function or accounting
  • Experience with accounting systems and income tax provision applications
  • Basic understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and/or local statutory principles
  • Digital, process improvement, and agile mindset
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to sustain high level of work output and meet very tight reporting deadlines
  • Ability to work remotely and with people across locations and time zones
  • Ability to effectively liaise and coordinate information across global teams
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • You are proficient in English – verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to travel to other Swiss Re Offices

Minimum base salary for this job is from 1700 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
